Pendle’s local newspapers reflect the individuality of the towns which make up the area. The Nelson Leader covers the south of Pendle, including Nelson, Brierfield, Barrowford and the “Western Parishes” of Pendleside and Blacko.
The Colne Times reflects life in Colne itself and its smaller neighbours - Trawden Forest, Foulridge and Laneshaw Bridge. The Barnoldswick and Earby Times, which proudly carries the red and white rose on its front page, covers those two towns and the rural communities around them - Kelbrook, Sough, Salterforth, Bracewell, Brogden and Thornton.
The three papers are published each Friday, and on Tuesday, there is the Pendle Express, which serves the whole of the borough and is particularly popular with Burnley FC fans.
All are published by East Lancashire Newspapers, part of the Johnston Press group.
